CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES TO TOPOGRAPHICAL SURVEYING AND CARTOGRAPHIC SUPPORT OF SECURITY AND DEFENSE SECTOR OF THE STATE

Abstract

Topographic and geodetic support of the needs of governmental security and defense, due to development of informational technologies; the change of the warfare tactics; appearance of new challenges and threats, require a radical change. This paper discusses the factors, that determine the influence of modern challenges of providing spatial data to security and defense sector. It is determined, that current scientific and applied problem needs to be deeply investigated. Results of this investigation can be used as basis of the Conception of topographic and geodetic support of the governmental security and defense.
