USING OF INFORMATION ABOUT LAND ENVIRONMENT IN MILITARY GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Abstract

Due to the significant increase of the role of information and proliferation of areas of its application in modern wars and conflicts leading nations of the world pay the great attention to the improvement of information and technical level of its own armed forces. The present conditions of providing the information about the ground and the objects on it for the Armed Forces of Ukraine are characterized by insufficient using of information technologies’ tremendous possibilities in the processes of gathering and processing of geospatial information.
